Scenario

GenRevista.ro isn’t just another online publication, it’s a platform built by young people, for young people. Created to give a voice to Gen Z, “Gen, Revista” is a space where young minds can express their thoughts, ideas, and creativity in a world that sometimes feels like it’s a little bit too much. But there was one big problem: their website looked and felt like it was stuck in the past, way out of sync with their tech savvy audience. That’s when GenRevista turned to us to give their site a well needed makeover.

The Challenge

GenRevista had a vision: to create an online space where Gen Z could share their thoughts, express their creativity, and engage with the world. But their existing website was a bit rusty and hard to navigate. It didn’t resonate with their young audience. The site’s poor navigation was turning readers away and making content management a headache. To fulfil their mission of empowering young voices, GenRevista needed a website as dynamic as its readers. That’s where we came in.

The admin area was kinda’ tough to navigate, so the management of the articles on the website was bit of a nightmare.

Articles didn’t pop. Sharing and readability were lost in the clutter, making the content less engaging.

The Campaign

We took on the challenge: to create a website that was as fresh and dynamic as the young voices it represented. Here’s what we did:

Sleek, Editorial Design: We completely revamped the site with a modern, editorial style. We put the spotlight on key categories—recent projects, texts, illustrations, photographs. We also added a new interactive section showcasing events like concerts, festivals and art galleries.


Catchy, Shareable Content: We gave every article page a facelift, making it more engaging, easier to read, and a breeze to share. Now, every piece of content stands out, just like it should.


Simplified Navigation: We made the website as easy to navigate as possible. Users can now glide through the site with ease, finding whatever they need.


User-Friendly Admin Area: We simplified the backend, making it super easy for the “Gen, Revista” team to upload content. No more headaches— just quick, straightforward content management.

The Results

The results of the redesign were kinda’ awesome:


Monthly active users doubled: From January to October 2023, they averaged 1,020 active users per month. After the redesign, from November 2023 to July 2024, that number skyrocketed to 2,188 monthly active users - an incredible 114.51% increase.

Improved User Experience: The new design resonated with the audience, making it easier for them to explore, read, and share content.


Happier Admins: The “Gen, Revista” team can now upload articles without pulling their hair out, thanks to the streamlined backend.
